Why can a world-class facility be destroyed by horrendous traffic control, parking management, and disorganized logistics? Why? Why? Why?
I encountered the same frustrating issues on two consecutive nights while attempting to enter the venue. It was quicker for me to travel from Santa Monica to the Home Depot Center than to actually access the location. The streets were congested, parking entrances were small, signage was lacking, parking attendants and police officers provided no guidance, and drivers were cutting into lanes without regard for those who had patiently queued.
Despite the outstanding events I attended (Coldplay and GWAR v. AC Milan), I have decided not to return. It is unfortunate, as the events themselves were fantastic.
